RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM – September 2, 2012 – Reigning champion two-year-old Ochoa, the 3-5 favorite, became the all-time leading money-earning quarter horse at $2,584,242 with an overwhelming win in the Grade 1, $2,234,539 All American Derby on Sunday afternoon before 20,932 fans at Ruidoso Downs.

The only higher attendance marks at Ruidoso Downs have come on Labor Day when the All American Futurity, the world’s richest quarter horse race, is held.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, New Mexico (September 4, 2011) – The gritty little gelding Llano Teller drew off from Prospect To The Top to score a 9-1 upset win in the Grade 1, $1,316,760 All American Derby on Sunday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs.

The 440-yard All American Derby is quarter horse racing’s richest race for three-year-old and older horses and Llano Teller earned $658,380. He also receives an invitation to the Grade 1,$750,000 Champion of Champions in December at Los Alamitos Race Course in Southern California.
